My second ghetto pond

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
This is incredible! Inspires me to do something with my furnace room.. It's 12x10 and just has the furnace sitting in the corner.. Hmmmm.

Your current project looks interesting, might even give me a few ideas what to do with my juvenile Koi carp. Shall be following this, thanks.

No, not filled yet. Will do that on xmas eve.
The plan is that on boxing day me and my partner are going to drive back up to Brisbane (where my RTC is), have a bit of a holiday up there over new years and then drive back down to our house in Melbourne, bringing Sally with us. It is a 20 hour drive and is going to be very stressful. Obviously her filter and filter media are up there with her, so I cant actually get this new pool running until we get back. So im just going to fill it before we leave, turn the heaters on and have some air pumps running so the water doesnt go bad, then the day we arrive home Ill set the filter up and get her in the new pond.

I remember reading your entire thread, and then it ending with the floods, such a sad ending to a great story, but glad you and sally are okay! Love the new pond etc etc. I also really love the drawers as a filter,if I ever have something large, I'll definitly borrow this design, keep us updated!

Ill definately update as much as possible. Thanks for the kind words but unfortunately Sally isnt doing too well at the moment. She hasnt had a water change in a while and so shes developed an infection or some fin rot on one of her whiskers. Thats what happens when you let others take care of your fish. Oh well, theres not much I can do until I get her down here.

^ That really sucks man... I bet your not happy cuz thats really some BS what a shame to have so much dedication and effort for lack of a better word **** upon by somebody who you entrusted to help you out with her care.

I hope she gets better and can I ask where to buy one of these pools??
