Synodontis Nigriventris (upside down cat) stays small, and prefer to be kept in groups of about 3, but also stay small. 4 Inches max, would be perfect for a bichir.

i have the same problem got 2 sens at the same time same size about 6 months ago now 1 is 8.5" and fat while the other is about 5 " and pretty skinney i feed them blood worms mysis shirimp earth worms or fresh prawns every night and sinking pellets in the morning sometimes. i see the skinney 1 eat everytime it just didnt grow much i dont know why.
