This is the tank when I first got it. Its a 135 with a stand that came with one corner overflow.

I wanted two overflows so I removed the old one.

I had new overflow covers made and I drilled the second overflow.

Then the overflows were siliconed in place.

Then I painted the back black with a latex paint.

I made a spraybar that runs across the entire length of the tank. Pump is a mag drive 12.

Each overflow has a 1" standpipe.

Each overflow drains through the bottom of the tank through a hole in the wall to my laundry room.

This is the sump. It is a 75 gallon tank.

The drains from the main tank flow into my DIY filtration tower.

Return pump, mag drive 12. There are also two sponge filters for extra bio filtration. Heaters are a 250w and a 300w.

Great setup, and the fish look amazing aswell.

Nice....Great use of the tape for a clean look after silicone. The all black back ground looks nice with the white pvc painted black to blend in. Oh and Nice Cat.... :)

That looks really great. I'm curious why you run your sump water level so low, because on mine I run them a lot fuller. Not enough, so it runs over, but it's about an inch from the top when I turn the pump off.

Good lookin filtration!!! Through the wall. nice. :)

Thanks! I decided to go through the wall because the biggest tank I could fit in the stand was a 20 gallon. I wanted the biggest sump I could get.

Aaronb, I run it so low so that the filter tower is mostly out of the water. Helps with oxygenation and also helps with the wet/dry aspect of the filtration. It still has about 30-40 gallons in it. Which is more then most other sumps I've seen.
