My shoe head catfish.

I'll try feeding it every day around the same time then and I'm also going to get some tilapia and earthworms. If it still doesn't work then I'm going to get some ghost shrimp and feed him those. I'd rather risk him getting a disease or parasite from eating something rather then starving to death.

A quick update. Was able to hand feed with tilapia pieces cut up. It came to the opening of the tank. No need for live food thankfully which has been the issue with these fish.

I got my shoehead some ghost shrimp, small crickets, red wigglers, and more night crawlers. A certain someone... refused to let me get tilapia so I can't try what you're doing just yet. Mark my words though, I AM going to get tilapia. I put the ghost shrimp in there so he could at least eat something and I'm going to try the crickets once he starts skimming the surface. if he doesn't take them then they'll go to my african butterfly fish. Is there anything I should know about feeding him or any of my fish red wigglers?
As for the bend in its tail, perhaps he's related to a monkey? lol

Yes. I was able to find another one. Quickly picked it up. Still settling in. This looks a little different but will wait and see. Would keep the ghost shrimp in and get some small convict fry. Their mouths are a little smaller than u think. These cats are a little picky so provide what u can.

I cut the tilapia in strips. Very thin/small and slowly move it around and it takes it.

The e-worm was cut into small moving pieces.

It tried offering it when it was daytime and wouldn’t work. Left food overnight and won’t work.

Last option is to get shrimp or small feeders and leave them in. Keep a count and it’ll slowly disappear.

That's dedication and also high maintenance. If that's what it takes to get them to start feeding, that's probably the hardest I've encountered so far.
