they don't grow that fast which is good, cuz anyone who has owned a redtail cat, can verify that it's hard to keep up with a fast growing catfish, if thats a lima the like to school in packs of three
That's definitely a tiger shovelnose. Expect one foot in a year. And eventually three or more- aim for the largest tank/pond possible. And remove any fish much less than half his size unless you don't mind them leaving

Thats definatly a tiger shovelnose.
Expect it to get 2 feet within a year. They have a tendancy to smash their faces apart on glass, so they need plenty of room.
Gets 4 feet plus.

i don't know i have never had a tiger grow that fast, but maybe i did something wrong, after it got about a foot it slowed down growing, but thats just my expereince
