Is that how the tank is set up? if yes try adding some plants and hiding area's,make it feel at home,then it will act alot more normally

I got him from Borneo Indonesia

I put him on temporary tank just for a pic shoot. Perhaps he's just a little bit stress.

Both in sumatra and borneo, maruliodes is kinda hard to get since their habitat become destroyed by human. This fish inhabitat swamp in the heart of jungle where the water is black.

Unlike ocellated red and lucius, maruliodes is rarely seen in traditional market


I heard that an indonesian exportir shipped blue variant to spore, perhaps u can try there. Good luck on ur search
