My Silver Aro is sick!! Everything I know about aquaria is ruined!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Several problems, imho.

Symptoms described point me to ammonia burn / ill effects. Check hour test kit. Your tank may not be chcled. The higher the ph, the more toxic ammonia is, a pnd your ph is high for a aro,

Tank is undefiltered and small. I won't bash. It is not my type. We we all gone through that stage but start planning on improoving the space condtions and filtration.

Feeding is the least of your worries.

The aro passed today. Thanks for your support guys. I'm in a tough place I'm questioning my future with this hobby.

Ahh dont quit. If i were u id get a couple easier fish. Even the smallest aro of them all, the african butterfly fish. They stay small and r easy to care for. Just have a container of mealworms or crickets around

Did it start floating before it died as if its head kept rising to the top of the tank. Mine died as well and I believe it had a swim bladder issue.

Do not give up. We all go through those mishaps. It is how we learn
