My silver ate a fallen suction cup from the heater !! I tried to get from her but she gulped it down. What the hell is gonna happen now? It wont be able to pass it I imagine. Does anyone know what I should do? Is there any thing I can do? Will it spit it up later? My rtc swallows up rocks and spits them up. Is my arowana toast? Its about 24" and just a beautiful fish. What a waste if it dies on me.

My Aro swallowed a filter impeller and about 2 weeks later, he spit it out. I am sure your aro will do the same. Just observe him, and stop feeding for a few days. Good Luck.
Man, that stinks. I know that I've had aros that appeared to have eaten shrimp. I mean just gulped them up, but regurgitated them later on that night. (Some of the market prawn I had bought was prepackaged and had a preservative that didn't sit well in it's stomach). Good luck! I hope it purges it some how. It would be a pity.

Your message is hilarious you are totally freaking out like I did this morning with my rtg I saw him poking at the pebbles I had at the bottom of the tank and then my rtg started to swallow a giant one. I was watching and I freaked out thinking that the rtg would choke to death since he wasn't cheap when I got him. I took off from my couch rushed to the tank, opened the lid and B slapped my rtg in the face luckily he spat out the pebble. But I have no idea if he swallowed any other time when I wasn't home. The rtg gets fed everyday as well why the hell would he eat rocks that rub shoulders with his own shi*? Stupid aro I think he deserved that slap in the face. Someone here warned me about the stones and they were right. My tank is all cleaned out with just glass bottom now. I'm still worried if my rtg ate pebbles before this incident and before I cleared out the tank he seems fine right now swimming actively begging for his mealworms as usual. I guess that's a good sign that he's feeling well still. I guess just try to pay attention to your fishes personality and mood. If ur aro starts acting off mood and differntly then u know! I caught mines with the filter tube suction cups in its mouth. Good thing it was stuck in there. I took my algae stick and stuck in its mouth until it gave it up. Best of luck to you.
