Thats one of the best looking silvers I have ever seen. And the pics are great too. Most aro pics have ghost eyes from the flash... how did you take the pictures?
Also, what are your water parameters? Do you use RO/DI water?
I think water parameters might have a lot to do with DE. I'm actually thinking of starting a poll on silver aro keepers water parameters. I've read about all sorts of things like diet, reflections, ping pong balls etc... but I can't recall seeing much discussion about the water. Maybe that discussion happened 20 years ago and its old... Just a thought.
Thank you.
Actually i didn't know why there have no ghost eyes from the flashed photo...i just take my DSLR camera and simply shoot with automatic mode, maybe angle's problem.
The others photos were taken by manual mode with the same DSLR camera under the strong sun light condition (afternoon)...
My water PH is around 6 and the tempreture is around 31C...i do 20% water changing weekly to maintain the water in good condition.
About the DE...i felt it is related to their own gene. Why? because i had few silver arowanas last time, and not all of them had DE problem.
At past, i kept them with same feeding way (food types), same water parameter (PH and etc.) and environment (lights, shadows and reflections), and i found that not all of them will had DE problem even some of them had reached 65+cm.
From here i felt that gene might cause th DE problem among those silvers...
*For your information, those silvers that i kept in the past were get from different LFS in different timing...which means they were not came from the same groups.
