I had my head over the tank while cleaning and mine jumped up and hit me in the eye.
he's 18-19" jardini. He snaps at his food, too.

i would stand talking to mates or watch tv leaning my hand on the top of my tank and the next thing WHAM! i nearly soiled myself each time.

so yeah i know what you went through, real dent when everyone is laughing at the guy scared of his own fish, but none of them will put their hands near.

Cuz they know they'll get wned:.

my oscars jump up to bite me when I don't hurry up with the food. If I leave food on top of the glass lid, they will jump up and ram the lid thinking they can get it. Very funny.

tell ur wife to put her fingers over the tank if she ever laugh @ u about this again, lol it's freakin scary when those monsters go @ ur hand, finger or even ur eye lol haha.
silvers are better jumpers than jars though, my jar tries to jump for his food everytime, he can't jump high enough to reach my fingers. but he did bit me this one time while i was hand feeding my dats...and that hurts, my hand even bleed.

Before she was just scared cuz she thinks he's so ugly. Now she's downright terrified of him.

I distact my silvers from doing this by pushing their heads down with my finger before feeding. Too many near miss accidents and lost skin prompted this. They now very seldom will break the waters surface during feedings.

I alomost **** my pants when i was going to feed the jar i had it was around 12" I used shrimps. my GF asked me somthing so i turned my head and the fish took the shrimp out of my hands while i was lookin away.
