jwong1024;3050743; said:This is the first time I have seen a silver lay eggs. I have seen asians lay eggs. Congrats and please remove the eggs before they rot. Gonna be hard to get a male, just put up a couple of silvers and hope for the best.

What are the parameters? pH? Temp? Lighting schedule? Anything you can think of LOL. Now that I know it can be done, I want to do it.

Water comes out of the tap at 7.0...so it should be around that...
Lighting...is never on...natural sunlight only. Occasionally I will put lights on for a couple of hours if I have visitors over. I have a sky light over this tank. If you dont know what that is...its basically just a hole in my roof that allows natural sunlight into the house.
Fed once a day. Prawn only.
20% water changes every Friday.
Very little water flow if any...the giant gourami always knocks the spray bar off...water is almost stagnant.
No heater...which is biggest surprise for me...I was keeping this girl in water that would have been around 71 F or 22 C.
Filtration is an external canister that only flows approx 320 g/ph.
