I had a wild largemouth bass who got similar with njuries from a osprey,(in a pond I fished in),he was eating and everything afterwards till one morning I found him floating 2weeks after the attack, secondary infection must of got him(sad considering I fed him for five years, since he was 3 inches and one of the only bass who would eat pellets)

Yeah that's what I'm expecting to happen tbh Cuz this is the worst injury any of my fish have sustained I had a pacu jump threw my lids and that was what took the lid out and that one died due to both my wife and I being at work when it happened, but like I mentioned I have had this happen before with one of my Matto grosso Azuls and I saved it so I hoping if I can use my knowledge from that one to help this one I might have a fighting chance but I need to get it to eat but I think the cat might have punctured part of its gills on the left side here's my Azuls incident I'll have to go grab some more recent pics Cuz it healed up perfectly 20150310_150157.jpg 1425390976174.jpg

Hopefully he pulls through. That's a really nice looking bass. How big?

You and me both man this last year has kicked me so hard in my stock I made a poor judgement call by picking up an 18" tem like 6 months later the thing snapped and killed 2 12" occels 2 wc tocontins Azuls blinded my Xingu so I had to put it down, ate the the female to my male kelzul that's in question rt now and went after My one eyed Matto grosso Azul that got blinded during shipping and I couldn't save his eye unfortunately but it ultimately died savage style by killing the 18"tem in the process from what you wife said it literally was fighting inside the tem even tho it had only its last 3-4" of tail hanging out its mouth so now I'm trying to save what I have a few build.my collection back up but the kelzul is about 11-13" in that range they have been the slowest glowing fish I've ever had its taken its sweet time that's for sure lol but here's what it normally looked like 20150111_151124.jpg

Brutal group of bass you have there. From my experience, you have to keep all of your bass about the same size. When one starts to grow more and gets dominant, I feed that one less and the others more to catch them up. That usually keeps my tank in order.

Yeah it learned that lesson the hard way I didn't think a 4-6" size difference would be that much of a difference boy was I wrong and now still kinda bummed about the whole ordeal but all I can do is keep on mfking it up lol just a shame to lose that many wild caught fish at once other than the Xingu being an f1

We all learn by our mistakes, trust me.

Is the kelzul eating for you?

But on a side note does any one have any recommendations for stronger for meds for the water that aren't ingested threw eating for a bacteria infection I'm not sure if it looks better or not with just the water changes, salt and pimafix so far
