My daughter loves watching our fish too. I have a green severum (her favorite) who tries to "fight and bite" the side of the tank whenever someone is watching him up close to the glass

This is my 6 month old boy and you can never start out too early.
My one year old girl names all the fish in the tank.
It's best to see your own flesh and blood show interest in the things you love to do most!

lol when my little sister comes over she spends hours staring at the African cichlids. (She is 5) She also loves feeding my fish fry and names all the babies. Slowly she has learned all the correct names but insists on calling my biggest bichir "The evil wolf fish" Because she saw it eat a Chinese algae eater once.

Well my lil man is 6 and when we stop by the fish shop customers are amazed that he actually knows the of the fishes by name. He also talks abou what kind of fishes we can get and why we can't get other. Saying things like its to small and will get eaten by one of our bigger fishes or vice versa. I've found that keeping fish has help teach him many things he understand what and how the filters work and why they are needed. I can't even do a water change with out his assistance. I'm glad to have gotten into fish keeping and the exprience we are both having.
