how big was he when you got him? do feed him steroids? lol!
 
i didn't gve him steroids.., only feeders,, 3-4'' why? is that not a normal growth??.., i will bye another one.., i enjoy becoz of there eating habit!! they are real predators!!! im scary when they start to target there prey...hehe
 
That fish has GOT to be closer to a year than two months.

So you got him at 3-4" right? He looks to be between 7-8" now. So he has grown 3-4" in two months. That is not uncommon growth within 2 months if fed live and provided daily water changes. Looks good.
 
Very nice Florida gar but I'm not sure what your basis is for the growth of the animal. It is not accurate to what is known and documented. These fish grow fast but not that fast.

Maybe there is some lack of effective translation here but that fish is not two months old and it is not less than about 10 months..It is a very nice animal and a very nice and healthy one however it is not two months of age. Lovely fish and I wish you the best of luck with it.
 
he is 10'' now.., i observed his growth.., and very.., fast., i dnt know why.., maybe the feeders he eat? hav? a gud nutrients??>.,,or a healthy feeder??..,he eats 3 feeders a day.,, tnx 2 all of ur comments.., but i really love my gAR!!! im planning 2 buy a 100 gal.. to transfer him.,, and his tankmates..,
