LOL - hotfishgirls - that's funny stuff. Here in NY, we refer to those baits as Coney Island whitefish. I've seen a few guys pull them up on trips before, always good for a laugh.

Call me crazy, but I still would have eaten the SOB.

thats awesome jess! many people would be surprised at what is found in a fishes stomach, imagine when he tryed to poop it out, he would be using protection haha
i have caught bigger even this year i caught 49 and a 53
even the guy that tried to correct you spelled it wrong which is even more embarrassing haha

who ever said this fish should be mounted is crazy, i think its alot more memorable to snap a few pics, and say that this fish is still swimming than see him on a wall
although we need to start keeping more stripers as the shad and herring populations are almost non existent in the Ct area from the huge population of stripers, which in return will wipe out the stripers and mabye bluefish if there is no more shad left
