I don't know what micron it was for a reef tank, It came with the set up its super thick feeling and it got clogged after a week I just threw in washing machine

Check your original post for my comments. Your going through a nitrogen cycle and are seeing the effects of light ammonia spike. Change 30-50% water. stop feeding for a few days until it clears up. dose with prime and wait for your bacteria to grow on your new scrubbies.
