My Sun Catfish isn't eating

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
if u only had him for a cpl days i wount freak out just yet. but try feeding when u turn of the lights, this helped get mine to start eating and to start coming out and eating when the lights are on., i wouldnt try feeders unless he is about to die. dont wanna get him stuck on feeders but then again he is a cat and should eat anything. but i would try some bloodworms, mealworms, waxworms, or earthworms, maybe some market shrimp. try diff things and try doing it when the light are all off at night.

I fed my new Sun Cat frozen mysis shrimp and bloodworms... I'd put them in the tank right before I turned the lights off, and when I'd come back a few hours later he had that lovely marble belly I just love to see on catfish.
I've seen him eat certain flake food as well... but I don't remember the brand now...
I do know mine is completely inactive with the lights on, unless someone is trying to eat him... or kick him out of his driftwood hiding hole.
That's why I placed my driftwood against the front of the tank in my little cat grow out tank, that way when they hide, I can still see them ;)
