You made us Vietnamese look like a goof for your statement and topic =_= why can you just post something else more friendly.

They pump them up as fry to get them to sellable size ,usually to 3 inches then they stop feeding to save money.

because you don't care about the general health of the cichlid and would rather pump them up to win competitions and thus shorten their life span

Because this is a public forum and we are allowed to share our opinions. Especially when seeing a FH with a hump the size of golf ball, we can almost assume that is not natural (naturally fed) and that its life spam has and will be shorten just so that they can win competitions (may not be the case here) or claim they have the biggest humpy head FH.
But I have had my fair share of flowerhorn experiences with the breeders and competitors; and all shipped here from overseas have the weakest immune systems; why is it always advised to de-worm a FH after shipment?
Do you need to do that with SA/CA cichlids for instance? No, because they are not fed who knows what and are hardy fish.
It is just a shame. I have bought flowerhorns from petsmart who look just as good as oversea FHs and were healthy because they were fed pellets as juvies. NOT live food or perhaps hormones.
Again, this is all IMO and IME. No need to get defensive when you also have no evidence to prove this "king of king" fish has a nuchal hump like that naturally.
