My super sad night

wow sorry to hear that i was the same way when my breeding pair of firemouths died recently . i was so upset i ended up bringing they month old fry down to my lfs cause it hurt me to watch their off spring swim around and their parents were gone. i've grown used to waking up in the morning and seeing them swim over to the glass begging for food once i was awake.
If I lost my clown knife, I'd still be crying. I really did love this Strigata, though. He was gorgeous, and totally fit in with the type of fish I like to keep. I will never find another one locally. I can't believe how fast it happened, and how quickly he went down hill.
And thank you all for your kind words. No one else would understand someone being sad and crying over a dead fish. That's why I had to post it here.
This is so true. Most people don't understand the connection we have with our fish. I'm sorry for your and your daughters loss. Only time will heal.
Oh man my duaghter hates seeing dead fish in the tanks. she even gets worried when its a fish that just sits on the bottom like laoches. she comes runing going "mama" (sad face) points at tank "disshh" (she cant pronoune the F" then mopes all sad and depressed. shes only 2. i feel so bad for ur little one. kids take it hard man not alot of people can understand that. its still their pet. pea puffers in 5g cutely decorated should make her soooo happy 
Well, we have a puffer! It doesn't make us miss the other fish less, but wow, this is the best void filler I've ever found!
That's sad story I know how you feel. I also lost my leopodi female in Jan.12. Her size is 20 inch I feed her for 4 years and she was died because her babies could not came and she tried to put them out for 24 hour. I really sad when she was died.
