allt he ones I looked at on here. relied on the tank being skimmed into the top of the pipe and then down and over. I think my take on it. will allow you to suck from any point in the tank. and it will stop at the predetermined point when needed.

Your guys thoughts on this setup?

i havnt built mine yet. but everything i have played with and tried says yes. on the other side of the loop it will stop once it drains bellow the T fitting. and restart once the tank rises above the bottom of the T fitting opening

lol

need to pick up the elbows etc. but i will be trying it pretty soon. need to install a check valve on the top though

This intake would work. You are just taking off one portion of the intake and then compensating with locating the "T" at a higher level. The only thought there is the amount of siphon that you will have. Should be OK.

well i figure if you built it out of 1" it should feed more then enough. I plan to put holes in the pipe inside the tank, cap the end. and paint it

bumping to the top. I gave it a try and with some playing I got it to work. and it just stopped at the set level when power was removed and restarted

bump because I want Chompers take on this.
:thumbsup: It gets two thumbs up.

Make sure to check the pipe sizing chart in the sticky section. Use the horizontal flow chart (this design is the one in that thread for the example for horizontal flow sizing).
