My tank at its peak..

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
the fish in the first tank are awesome, but I think I would get bored too if I had to look at a bare tank. your wild discus tank is worth looking at all day. these are wilds. forget the plants except for some floaters, and add more wood. I have loads of manzanita in my 120 gal. and my wilds absolutley love it. I would love to add some geo's but I have enough stosk now.

Thanks for all the kind words guys..

definitely need more plants in the set-up , too little greenery for a discus tank

I am probably just gonna stick with anubias.. They are easy and clean. Still loooking for nice pieces of wood that I like.

those are some gorgeous fish. And I know exactly what you mean about losing interest in the hobby because I used to go on MFK literally every day at least once every hour that I was home, but lately its been pretty sporadic use and I really haven't done anything to my tanks aside from prolonged water changes in a few months. I'm trying to get back in it because it used to bring me so much joy, but now I almost feel like water changes are a chore (I used to love doing water changes). Hopefully this new season of river monsters will spark back my interest.

I used to do that too. lol Water changes used to be fun.. feeding my fish used to be fun. Its not fun anymore!!

I think working at a fish store also killed my hobby.. I'll be back when I finish school and am out working a real job. That way I can have a bigger tank like I've always wanted. Can't go bigger when I'm still living at home! :grinno::grinno:
