The Sunny San Joaquin
My last big acrylic tank was an expensive custom 75, and it's starting to come apart.
It's bulging a lot. Way too much for my comfort.
Also, the top lip in the back is so thin the tank has warped badly, and it's sagging at the top middle.
The seams are all crazing slightly, and I expect it to get worse until it pops.

I'm trying to get the seller to contact the manufacturer and get his instructions. I don't know if they will still be in business after the virus panic.

I will probably just get stuck for the $1000 and order a new glass tank from someone better, after the virus panic lets up.

It's a custom 60"x15"x24" on a custom $2000 oak and birch stand. The custom sump was $200, and with everything I've got $4k spent.

If they'd spent $20 more on plastic and followed my wishes, I could have had a nice tank.

Here’s what it looks like when you hang a carpenter square off the top. This is a scary amount of bulge.

I’m going to have to reduce the water level in this tank.

I Suspect that the manufacturer will immediately claim that the stand is at fault.

This thing has 10 oak legs and four 3/4”sheer panels, with a solid panel back. The top is solid birch nearly 2 inches thick. I board sanded it dead flat, And even fully loaded it is still flat.

I put a nice 6 foot Swanson straight edge on this cabinet and I could not get more than 0.006” shim under it anywhere.

The manufacturer just totally blew the engineering on this one.

I had the seller call them Monday & this is Friday, but no joy yet.

I will call later today and attempt a resolution. I haven't muddied the builder's reputation yet, and I'll give them a couple chances to correct this, before I do more.
