My tank is failing . . .

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
The sponge Filter in the sump will not prevent the bacteria to die off because they get no food.
Maybe you could do something like a gravity overflow with a pipe.

I have a few volunteer sump fish and I feed them. They must have slipped thru the prefilter when born. Since my heaters are in the sumps, I had to add a heater to the tank last night.

Feeding time for guppies means feeding time for Felix!

It appears that the bulging has reduced even more as the tank sat overnight. But those warped rims by the filter holes did not relax, even as I drained the tank over 50% to do a water change.

I don’t see any issue with your pictures
I’ve seen this in many tanks that are older & especially when it’s under 1/2 in thickness or on tall tanks 30inches or more
My 300 has more Bow that this and is 30 tall made from 1/2 ac

My 125 4x2x2 looks like yours on the front panel
Super thin acrylic and it’s a older tank
but I don’t worry about it at all honestly. Ultimately it’s your call , but I wouldn’t stress it

I would loose my s***!
He spent $1000 on a 75g tank! It had better be damn near bullet proof in my book.

I have no experience whatsoever with acrylic tanks...and don't want any, actually... but that looks scary. I cannot believe the picture with the straight-edge hanging down beside the front glass! Is this really typical with these things?

I think the manufacturer is cheaping out probably. Like Jacob92677 Jacob92677 says he's not worried. I'd guess 1/2 may still be in the realm of considered "safe" . But imo that guy cheaped out on our boy here and should have gone with the next safety factor up being as deep is that is.

Yep, the builder is a cheap skate. The OP should have specified acrylic thickness as well since that is a crazy amount to charge for a 75
