My tank is green. Why?

Probably algae, some grows on my aquarium but not much in the water, mostly like scum on the sides
I had the same problem before in 2 of my tanks. I tried many ways to eliminate the algae until I realized that it was coming from the sunlight (the 2 tanks were in the sunroom). I quickly solved the problem by taping newspaper around the sides of my tanks (putting a trash bag over your tank does the same), and dosing some API Accu-clear or API Algaefix.
