Tropical Fish Hobbyist Magazine gave away a bunch of these many years ago. From the pose and coloring, this looks like one of theirs. I can't remember what year, but it was quite some time ago. I have 30+ years of back issues in my house and I remember reading about these. If I get a chance, I'll see if I can find out what year it was and show you a picture.

They deteriorate in the freezer, after a couple months eyes will be gone and fins will deteriorate. You should let beetles eat them so they strip the flesh and you will have only bones, that would look sick!
