My teugelsi isnt eating!!!!

I recently got this fish from a friend who couldnt get it to eat now im having the same issues. Tried tilapia and minnows. Any suggestions?

I have a 14" teg. A hogger. Tilapia and shrimp fav. Try feeding in dark

If u just got it then it may need time to acclimate. This is common for new fish in a new tank. When did u get it? Also what was it fed prior? Tank mates? Like HB said tilapia does work very well but if new then may need to wait.

He came from a friend who had him for 6+months. He is skinny like a ropefish.

Definitely shouldn't be skinny as a ropefish. if u can post some pics. Maybe a bit underfed.
