  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Thanks. I have seen so many low quality Silks I feel lucky I have this guy. I also have another SRD from the same batch and I just picked up a Rainbow flower horn a couple days ago. I trying to raise up a nice female for him to breed with.

^ Very nice looks like my fishes brother. Not to many around the size of mine. I have noticed he does get sick easier than any of my other fish. Had to treat for Internal parasites and prazi pro was awesome and just 2 weeks ago he got a bad case of ick rite after I moved him into his 75. No other fish in the room got sick just him. I have 3 Monoculus Peacock Bass, 2 Senagul Birchers, breeding convicts, 4 flowerhorn, then Cory cats,Bala sharks, tiger barbs, Tinfoil barbs, and 3 SA Bumble bee cats. Only the Silk got sick and as you see he is doing good now. His kok still ain't completely back to normal but close. Going to be moving soon and afraid with are very low temps that I may loose some fish. May trade in all but the bass and flowerhorn.

I guess I got lucky. Mine has been living in the same tank alone since it was 1in. I always keep the temp at 83-84 and do 30% water changes every week. Also, not sure if this matters, but I only feed him small pellets (about the size of his pupil) cus I heard they can have digestive problems from in-breeding. I will be moving soon and am worried he will get stressed and sick in transport as well. Anyways, best of luck with your silk, they are awesome fish!

Well been a minute since I have been on. I got all moved sold all but big blues tank and downsized on fish. So all the fish that didn't sell went in the 75 for now and everyone is actually getting along. Only lost the 5 tiger barbs from the water getting to 60F. But current stock of the 75 is Silk, 2 SRD,Rainbow Flowerhorn,2 Birchers,2 Bumble bee cats and the 3 Cory cats and 3 tinfoil barbs. Its a pretty active tank rite now and the kids love it. Now the move is over I can reseal the 200 and move some fish around. The silk did pair off with 1 of the female SRD but she is to small to produce eggs but she still tries. Hope the Silk is fertile.
