damn it
my buddy captain Nemo [thinbar] died today at 6PM. DEC 7, 2006
i heard of dats being sensitive~ but i thought it would be cool!
so this morning i saw my thinbar, he had hard time breathing and moved really slow.
hours later he starts sitting at the bottom of the tank.
which is odd since he usually swims mid tank.
then his breathing slowed down so much it barely looked like he was breathing.
so thats when i knew for sure, something was damn wrong.
so my friend suggested i take it out, and place it ina container with 70% tank water, and 30% new water. i did as he suggested. placed the bubbler in there.
and he seemed to do better after a few mins.
i did a 35% water change to the tank.
and added some extra aquarium salt to ease his gills.
but after i put him in the tank... he turned BLACk.
and continued to struggle.
he was laying on its side...
then after about another hour he proped himself up on the wall.
i thought everything was cool. the breathing sorta calmed downa bit.
then he just continued to move around i guess.... laying down.
until finally i look about 2 hours ago.
and his mouth is poped out [like in the 'yawn' mode]
and his body and eyes are all black. dead.
--------------------------------------------------------
last time i had an ammonia spike that literally wiped out half my fishes.
Capt Nemo~ he was a survivor.
but today... it seems he just didnt make it.
--------------------------------------------------------
Have any of you had this problem/situation before?
do you guys possibly know what the hell happened?
please give me some kind of answer!!!
and a moment of silence for the good homie Capt. Nemo.....
