when not open all they way they are very unhappy or something is irritating them..
They (all but about 5) are all the way open now!!
Take a look back a few pages and see my zoos open ALL THE WAY

what's a good way to make them happy?

? medium flow and good lights
I've had mine (zoanthids) under t-5's and power compacts before and they did fine.
Open and happy
What is your stock list
Some fish do nip at zoos and also some inverts get a taste for polyps too
Flame angels are well know to nip at zoanthids
Also how old is your tank??

2 clowns.
Flame hawkfish.
Blue tang.
bicolor blenny.

Sounds good
My bi color blennie was eating my SPS polyps but not the zoos??
(he had to go)
Sounds like your lights are good and so are your fish
Try putting the zoos in lower and then higher flow and also lower and higher in your tank!!
If you have a ZOO pest they may close and never open (zoo eating nudibranch) So What I would do is got some "LUGOS" and some malifix
Do a dip with all your zoos (tank water and the treatment)
Also inspect all the zoos for eggs and pests with a magnifying glass
Could be you they got way to irritated and are "scared" to open....
