as long long as you have lots of pods :)
How readily to pods replicate if you introduce them into your tank?

Now that I'm out of highschool (Graduate on the 4th), I have more time to dedicate to my tank. However I'm getting a hip replacement on the 9th, so I won't be able to come up stairs and look at my tank for awhile, I'll just have to have mom feed them on their regular schedule and wait till I can get up stairs before I do anything major.

I feel like my tank is on the verge of collapse. My hard corals are all dieing, while they looked perfectly healthy not long ago. But all my softies seem to be doing good, except for this one zoo I've had forever has died back a bit. I'm going to do a full range test soon (pH, nitrates, nitrites, ammonia, calcium, salinity) I'd like to know what you're parameters are since all your stuff is doing so damn good.

I'll admit, It's been a long time since I've tested the water, or even done a proper water change. I'd like to reverse this collapse and make it thrive like yours.

Nitrite: 0 ppm
Nitrate: 10 ppm
Ammonia: 0 ppm
pH: 8.0pH-8.2pH
calcium: 500-520 ppm
carbonate hardness: 107.4 ppm

SG: 1.020

raise your salenity to 1.026 Or 35ppm
Test your mag.. it should be at 1300

Perfect harmony is
DKH 8-10
Calcium 400-420
mag 1250-1400

those three in harmony will alow your corals to thrive and grow..

My levels as of this weekend are
Salenity 35ppm
Nitrate <5
Nirite 0
Ammonia 0
DHK 8.5
Calcium 420
Mag 1250

temp is between 76-79
PH is between 8.0-8.2 during the day

Chrillers doing my temp good, it says around 79. I'll try to get those others tested if I have the kits.

How would I go about reaching harmony?

well to reach it you need to start with the easy one. MAG.
You want to raise this one to the right level (around 1300 give or take)
after you've achieved this (should only take a few days cause mag is not used up much by day)
then move onto the ALK (DKH)
this will be achieved by testing everyday before dosing (if you do)
you will find the correct amount to dose everyday to get your water alk stable

then move one to calcium..
More than likely this will be close to what you want already if your maintaining your reef correctly.
if not, dose a bit more or less..
After you get your calcium correct, you should run the trio of tests again and should be in harmony with your dosing schedule

Once you've got it all in check minor adjustments will need to be made as your reef grows and matures as the calcium and alk draw will become more demanding

Remember, MAG is basically a gate way to allow corals to absorb alk and cal.
So if your mag is low or way high the corals wont grow much..
so you gotta get your mag right first...

What is this is it some kind of anenome it looks awsome!
