My thingies.

I'm kinda annoyed with my Berliner sump right now. As you know I made a refuge. HOWEVER, I've noticed a MASS of copepods in the bottom of the first chamber on my sump. The part were there's the inlet from the overflow. Because of the nylon filter bags nearly no living things can get past the labrynth of filtration to get to the fuge. I've taken one filter bag and sank it in my fuge in hopes any lifeform will evac into it. How can I get this huge colony of pods out of my sump and into my fuge? Their really far down there....

I would pull out all filter stuffs from sump and just use live rock in there.
Let nature do it's thing.. I don't use ANYTHING except live rock, chato, skimmer and I run carbon in a reactor

Hmm. If I have copepods in my sump... Chances are I have them in my tank? Right? I've also noticed some baby nails in their too. I'm not sure what they are.

I've only ever bought Turbo and Margarita snails. These look like Nerite snails. Can't remember if I ever bought any of those.

And that coral is pretty. What is it?

Oh yea, they are getting in your tank..
As long as there is no filter sock or filter media after the fuge, you should be good..

That my friend is a chalice.
 
Did some reading around. Apparently Mightly Putty IS useable. We have tons of that stuff. So thats good...
