The tank looks great...

How do you keep your phosphates and nitrates low ? I've been struggling with that...and can't wait to keep sps once that's take care off..

Just want to let you know. Magnesium is up to 1400-1450 and I added 2 acroporas and a new brain to the tank to test it out and so far all of them have been putting out their polyps at night. Something that I hardly ever saw before the magnesium boost. You saved me!

Hey when was the last time you replaced your lights? I just ordered some new bulbs. What do you feed your corals? I feed them some zoo/phytoplankton every once and awhile. Is there any real secret to feeding them?
No secret.
I dose kalk in ATO, I feed them light, calcium. and the floaters the fish don't eat.
I feed my fish my homemade food (heavy) and thats it ..

I added a little ROWA phos, the damn thing is expensive here..about 100usd + shipping..

I also have an algae turf scrubber running.. My phosphates a month ago was 1.50 and now its about 0.53..

and my hydrometer was wayyy off, after checking with a refractometer - it was 60ppt..Now its about 38ppt..

Hydrometers are worthless pieces of crap. They always stick and are almost never accurate. Plus they get gunked up with salt over time. Much easier to just wipe off the lens of a refractometer and put it away than monkey with a hydrometer.
