My thorichthys helleri tank and hello

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Sorry for the late reply,I missed this message for some reason.
My water is quite hard from the tap and my ph is around 7.5.
If you were to choose thorichthys from the meeki group, they would be fine with your buffering plan.
Thorichthys from the helleri group are a bit more delicate.

A pic of my helleri and otapa swords.

I am moving all these fish to a much bigger tank soon.I am looking out for some nice veija,
Probably synspilum or bifasciatus.
The otapa swordtails I have been breeding in the hope of creating a huge group to accompany the cichlids.
Will post updates as the tank evolves.

I do miss keeping veija

Thanks for the tips.

That helleri looks awesome. What size tank are you moving them up to?

Beautiful fish man. Love a good biotope!

That's gonna be a great tank! How do you think vieja synspilum would get along with my peaceful SA's like a chocolate and severums?

Thanks,
I think it depends on the individual synspilum and tank size.I have found they can get quite nasty with their own kind. The ones I have had have been quite easy going with other cichlids.
I still think they have potential to cause problems though.
