How well can u ship fish?? If u dont like the base color on the little ST, i'll buy him off you and you can make a nice profit..6000 yen, or more?!?!

Ive been searching for a small ST forever!!! it seems like anyway!

LOL! hahah..yea, i actually just got him so he could establish himself as an Alpha fish since there was so much fighting going on between my dats. it worked too since there is no more fighting between the big guys..just the little ones.

So what are the dat prices like in Japan??

Very nice! What size tank is that anyway? Looks big.

What ive found w/ the pricing of Dats, or actually any fish other than arowanas, is that it all depends on where you buy the fish. for example large ST's can go for as little as 100 USD to as much as 1500 USD. i think alot has to do with markings on dats and the availablity at the time. one secret i found is that the higher price large dats sold in LFS's usually come from distirubtors. the cheap ones come from customer returns.
indos are the same way but usually dont go any higher than 200 dollars for a 14 inch specimen...that ive seen anyway.

Thank you. Tank is a 265. all the smaller dats are going to be moved to my 180g growout sometime in the future.

I'd really like to help you out but. ive never shipped a fish before.im kind of hesitant on shipping Dats since i always seem to have a bad experience with them breaking the bags. the first dat i got in the states was shipped to me, and it broke the bag. if it wasnt for a very dedicated UPS lady and a nearby LFS owner, he would have died intransit. 4 of my dats here have all pierced the bags on the trips home. thank god for styrofoam coolers..lol.
