no i got 4 tors (sold as tor putitora) from Wes (rare fish) about a year ago. they lived with H. Lacaerdae in a 60 gallon tank for a few days. my lacerdae ate two so i move rest to 30 gallon tank. i think their growth rates are really slow..
I, too, picked up 2 from Wes, although they were later IDed as Tor mussullah, the humpback mahseer. Yours look very similar (duh), so they may be the same. I honestly can't tell, there are far too many mahseer that look incredibly alike at juvenile sizes.
As far as growth rates, mine just hit 10". But I only feed them about 8 times a day
yeah, after looking at them more, they look more like tor messulah or tor khudree. their eyes are too big and close to the top of the head compared to mine, and the back is a bit high. either way, their rare and hard to get.
Could be a musullah. I have 3 of these
A group photo - the bigger ones are musullah about a foot in length
See if they start to display any colours at around 8 inch and above... Musullah have a pale green tinge to nearly colourless on their anal fins View attachment 323252
