shamus my youngest boy is particularly taken with the brackish tank I just moved up from the basement as I am about to demo an reno the fish room. In this pic the tank only had 7 dragon gobies, I added 4 knigt gobies yesterday(ps he was sick with a cold hence the nose )

each of my kids is after a monster fish of their own here is caleb after I told him about the shovelnose he could call his, and my daughter mahalia after I told her she could call ron the pacu her's

was a slow day so my son caleb wanted to stay with me for the afternoon so I says ok, and here he is making himself at home lolololololol

iri sharks I inherited with a 55g I bought, I searched out and bought some larger tanks when I found how big they can get. The dude told me that I needed to have room for 3 6 inch catfish and here I find a bucket with these 3 10-11 inch sharks.

I do have a 300g here but the sharks can not seem to find the food when I put it in as the other fish eat it to fast and the sharks are to timid. I tried them in my 180g but same thing they can not seem to find the food on the gravel substrate. So I put them back into this 140g cause its nice and wide and at least 4 feet gives them room to swim.

I have another 180g and a 10ft 300g that I will be setting up so they will have a home that they can be the mainstay off, unless I actually get to place them in the local 1500 display pond or get my 7000g indoor greenspace done.

last night when I was getting some fish supplies, my kids were insistant that I come look at this special bird they were holding, so finally I went to the tiel pen to see this

I had to get this bird for 2 reasons #1 the look in my daughter's eyes #2 I have never seen this color mutation in a tiel, we own four already but this one is pure white with shades of grey no yellow or red at all

and here is christianna in the van with her new pet bird, the main reason I got her this bird is shown on her face

the bird is offically known now as baby angel, the breeder must have taken special care with this baby as it is totally hand trained and loves to give kisses and must be on the shoulder or hand

as this is still a baby it will not go to live in the aviary till at least a year old or more

here are some of the moments from the restaurant this week

her dad was getting ready for grad so she brought her mom in to see the fish this was her fav tank

I think this couple was japanese, their daughter was giving them a tour of her school and they came in to see the tanks. I love the look on the womans face that totally breaks any language barrier. the tank behind her is a 168g tall that I am about to set up as a sw or brackish in the place of my blah 100g holding tank.


and here my recently turned 1 year old gaddiella has begun to really want to walk

nothing better in my mind that letting kids truly enjoy their food lolololololol

and here the fruits of putting a 55g in front of her crib at the age of 2 months on pays off, she is a fish nut ahhahahahhahahahhahah

here is a family who got dragged in today by their little one ahhahahhahahhah

my wife went to get something for lunches today and phoned me to tell me about these automatronic dinosaurs at the store in the reduced bin so I told her to grab them all. just a string of shots of the heyday when the kids got ahold of them

One of my regular customers is a geologist prof, when she saw them the kid came out in her so I made sure she went home with one. She is gonna play a joke on a biologist who is taking head of their dept tomorrow ahhahahahha

edit : my artist friend is getting ready to do a fresh install of work in the fall, I am actually gonna bring in some of my art collection from home to cover till she brings the new work in august, she needed her work to replace what sold at the gallery

here are a few of the treasure moments from the past bit

it was first nations day and they had some celebrations planned here at the u of r, this little cutie came in to see the fish, her dad made her costume for her

i wish I had been able to get these two in a more casual look, they went totally formal picture takin mode when I asked if I could take thier pic, a mother and daughter.

here shamus my mini me decided that my cardboard boxes would make a wonderful train, and my youngest gaddiella has totally turned into a camera ham

so we took a day off from the restaurant early the other day to do some looking about for future building projects and my son started the trip being a ham

at the rona

but the laugh was on them they could not get out and run havok in the store muahahahhahahahhah

recently had a fish store employee who was really curious about my tanks come down to see them

later on in the days my kids make havoc buy hitting the toy box, though the kids of the university students love the toys as well and hey I even play with the dinosaur animatronics

each of my kids has claimed one of my fish as their very own monster fish lol

they each want to do a tank future fish keepers
