A few years back when I got into rays, I wanted to do it right. I started with a 90 gallon 2x4 and now its grown to this. You have to upgrade for the rays sake. Its not fair to them to pack them in a small tank. If you want rays, my advice is make the investment. They will get big and you either have to pony up the dough or don't get one. start with a small tank but expect to save up money and keep getting a bigger tank. Thats what I did. I'm not a rich guy at all. I just save my pennies because I really like rays and counted the cost at the beginning. I've done alot of stuff DIY which helps too.
