My two awesome eels

First one is my 4 year old fire eel(smokey).He is about three feet long and by far the biggest around of any fresh water eel i have ever seen.The second eel is my tire track eel(speedy).He is 20 inches and looks tiny when compared to the fire eel.The fire eel lives in a 450 gallon tank and the tire track lives in a 180.I would bet this fire eel is the biggest one around?

they grow fast once you get them eating shrimp and tilapia.

Your eel looks great and you did a good job raising both of them.

Saw a 2 year old raised by George Devries and traded in to Aquatic Kingdom (Where SimonL works) in Mississauga Ontario last month that is 42" long. It was in a display tank is probably still is there.

Very nice.. most fire eels lose their coloration as adults, yours looks awesome.
