Not secured yet. The top has 1/8 inch glass, it's even fairly heavy to lift when I feed them. Each panel is 4' x 1'. I'd heard him bonking his head on them at night, but so far the lids don't even pop up when he does than. Guess I should secure them. I don't like hte look of dumb bells on the tank
