My Two Silver Arowana

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i have learnt to ignore all ppl who believe in the "oh the fish needs a gigantic humongous mega" tank to survive ********. it's not true and they never listen. TL, dont worry the fish will live fine.

If those two are really 14" each then that tank should be no more than 4'. 110 gallon? That is way too small for even 1 aro of any kind...

Nice fish though...

have you kept a silver aro before? have you kept an asian aro before? has your asian aro killed 2 of your silver aros that got stunted? have you seen that tank in person? do you even know how big that tank is? get your ***** straight before you make wild assumptions. tigerlover is a very good fish keeper, the fish will be fine in his hands. btw that congi is 21inches, the tank looks fine to me.

nice pick up bro:D you know who else wanted that aro....haha looks like id have to get some cobra snakes tinstead...:D

i agree.
tigerlovers a great fish keeper.

Thanks for all the comments!

Xander and Channox in particular are very good friends of mine. They are all very young but are also very outstanding fish keepers of their own field. I have learnt a lot from their posts in this forum.

This is a 4x2x2.5' feet tank. I have just ordered a two tier 5x2.5x2 tank to keep my three aros by the end of the month.

I have personnally seen many experienced fish keepers keep many monster fishes together in smaller tanks than this. I can testify that all the fishes are very healthy and active. The most important are to watch your water parameters. If you have huge tanks but with bad water, the fishes wont survive too. With regular water changes and maintenence, it is not impossible to keep many big fishes together.

I am happy to see all the commnets. We all can learnt a lot from one another!

I dont need to I can tell from looking its not big enough for all them aros when there fully grown. Alot of people on here seem to think its ok to cram silvers into small tanks. My friend has a tank with a foot print of 8x6 and its uses every single inch of area to swim in. So its quiet easy to tell and also it will all end in tears Asian aros are alot more aggressive than silvers and to keep and asian aro comm you need at least 6+ aros so 2 silvers and an asian is heading for disaster.

Hi

Don't quite appreciate your language although I like to learn from you. Can you post some pic of your 100x200x300 feet tank that you keep your monster fishes?

Thanks in advance.
