My Umbee Thread

Since i bought my umbee 3 weeks ago i have decided to post updates every 3 weeks. I have noticed quite a bit of color change and size in those 3 weeks so far.

He will be transfered to my 180 gallon soon, just have to make sure my 14 inch oscar wont eat him.

The first photo taken on the 6th of April and the second and third on the 25th of April.

I put my umbee in the 180 gallon but he did not eat for weeks then only earthworms for a while too, not sure why maybe scared of the bigger fish in the tank. Now he is eating everything i give to him and he is very active, his growth rate since the last update has been poor but i am hoping he will pick up a bit in the next month.

well im glad to hear that he is finally eating what else do you have in the 180? IME umbees do the best in their own tank or divided with another as far as growth goes

An oscar about 14 inches, red horseface 7 inches, 3 silver dollars , smallish heckelli, 4-5 inch festivum and a few 4 inch blue acaras.

He is starting to fill out now, eating well and getting aggressive but still pale at times.
