An awesome amount of red on the cheecks already! How big would you say he is now?

6 inches including the tail.

Thanks i notice he is slow growing comparing with my tiger oscar who has already caught up to him, though the oscar is always first in for food.

Looks like i have no chance of getting my 300 gallon this year or in the near future (unemployment). The umbee is ripping into my silver dollars and slowly overtaking the 180 gallon, i have put him in the 65 gallon on his own but he is amazingly skittish in that tank so i am going to bite the bullet and take him down for a trade-in. I most likely will put my tiger oscar into the 65 but not sure if its enough room for him for the rest of his life especially going by my red oscars size .

Awe don't do that. Keep the umbee in 180 and trade the rest in. That's a nice umbee bro
