Thanks! They were the last ones in too in my tank. Took me a while to find them. The moke grows really slow though. But its a big eater
I guess I'm right behind you then because it's taking me a while haha. Yeah I heard the same about mokes. Do you only feed the moke mealworms or do you feed all your bichirs mealworms? That sounds like a good addition to their diet.

That was actually the first and last time the moke ate mealworms hehe. i usually feed them worms when im too tired or lazy to cut shrimp and meat. Now the lil guy loves shrimp and chicken hearts. I got him last december at 3 inches. He's about 5 now i think. The bigger polys used to love mealworms as well, now they ignore em
I see I see. Yeah that's super slow! Where do you get the chicken heart? Do you just buy legit chicken heart from the meat section or something?

Yep, i get the hearts from the meat section. I usually just have to ask the clerk to remove all the liver attached to it so i could get more hearts hehe. Id be getting less per kilo if the livers are still attached to them. I just cut off the fatty areas up top of the hearts before i feed them to the bichirs. I just wash them quickly first before i store them in the freezer by feeding batches
They're a good 4-5 inches. Surprising thing is that the bichirs never went for them. All the other smaller fishes i put in there were eaten by either the ornate or the palmas palmas (both at 11 inches). All the other dudes are quite peaceful hehe. I have 6 roseline sharks in there, funny thing about them now is they prefer the chicken hearts as well. prob why they all got chunky too. I had an endli once who ate 2 roselines. I had to sell the poor guy because i was worried he would swallow the slow growing moke sooner or later given the endlis astounding growth rate. So yeah, the tank's more peaceful now that they're all upperjaws

My endli and lapradei...now in my friend's tank. I had to trade them both. Since i caught the lapradei trying to swallow the weeksii. The lowerjaws are just too fast growers. Worried me every night then
