I got three clown loaches yesterday, and have six more coming soon. They are about 2.5" or so. So far I love them! They are in with ten Neon Tetras, a Zebra Danio and two unidentified Rainbowfish right now. The neons and the danio are going to live in my sisters 75 gallon tank though.

These guys all came with this tank, a 37 gallon, but the loaches will be going into a soon to come 120 gallon. I've been wanting clown loaches for a long time, so I'm stoked that I finally have some!

Here they are, Larry, Moe and Curly!

Hmmm..Naming them when they look like clones...lol

has anyone been able to breed them in their home aquarium??? i have 5 all about 1.5" lil guys.....don't see much of them in my 125.
when ever i can i like to pick the ones out that have odd markings so they are distinguishable in the tank from the rest.......gotta love those odd stripped loaches!!!

Yours are still too young to breed. Only Colin Dunlop has managed to almost breed them if he hadn't removed the adults prematurely from the tank but his pH is 4.5 I believe with a dKH of zero since Scotland has very soft water.

Thanks everyone! I can't wait to get the six in there with them. The tank is going through a bit of a cycle though so I can't add anything. In fact I am trying to arrange to get the neons and zebra danio out of there as there are too many fish.

The tank was supposed to come with an Aquaclear filter, which it did. It also came with an udergravel filter but the tank stunk so I took the UG out and washed the gravel. Then when we got it all set up the darn Aquaclear didn't work! So thankfully I had access to a brand new AC70 so I put that on there with the media from the other Aquaclear. So I hope it is enough. Checking the ammonia and nitrates tomorrow and I'll do a small waterchange tomorrow too.
