Unfortunately, the larger of the two, on the right has gone to fishy heaven.... she got sucked up a pipe after the guard was knocked off by my synspilum.... It took me an hour to extract her

i thought they were both males until you mentioned the eggs.. never saw females with such vivid color..... both gorgeous

The survivers not to big.. 2.5" to 3" long

Both are females - probably H. lifallii - sorry you lost one - beautiful fish!

Does the one by itself still have good colour? How long did it take to show that colouration.

at the moment shes not showing as much color coz she's in a new set-up but she was very colorful by herself aswell.
