They can get up to 3 feet I guess. I've ever seen one over 18 inches in an aquarium though... I'm sure they're have been some I've just never seen them. They need a real big tank when their big though because they can be skittish and will hurt their snouts which are pretty bony and from what I've seen don't heal to great.
