I am getting ready to set up a QT tank and eventually get a lion to add to my 150G Fish Only tank.

Are you treating the lion with anything line cupramine and prazipro?

also, what filter are you using on your QT? I want to get a 30 gallon tank for QT but not sure what filter to use.

Aren't QT tanks supposed to be bare bottom with no live rock? I thought if they had parasites, lets say ICH, that it'd go into the sand and rock untill you used some sure fire way to get rid or it, say some sort of copper treatment. But then the copper would leech into the rock and sand no? IDK anyways COOL FISH MAN! i've always wanted a lion fish but id rather have a nice 120g reef instead of a tank centered around one fish.


Im using the the 15gallon i have as a QT tank once i get my 120 going. its going to be bare bottom with a basic light, basic HOB filter and just some PVC elbows/t's for the fishies to hide in.

...yeah i've heard that to, so now im setting up a plain quarantine tank under my 72 gallon tank's stand. The lion is in the tank....doing good lol
