It's a great day when you find out that you only have to use the buckets for acclimating fish etc.
I'd definitely try to get that temp. thing straightened out sooner than later though, the closer to the same temp. the less stress on your fish.

ya, i have to get it done this summer, cause the water isn't all the cold since its hot out, but as soon as it does start getting colder i'm going to have to get it hooked up to the faucet or something.

I use a meat thermometer, you would'nt belive how accurate that thing is. Just bump the faucet lever( one handle type) and the temp will change.

If you live in the city use prime before and after you fill with the hose from the sink,and as long as the temperature stay's the same you will have no problems....

If you don't use a bucket then how do you measure how much you took out? I have a w/d sump I have to contend with and don't want to overfill when I go to add the water back in.
