My walking catfish

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
The colouration needs time to develop...it is a matter of time and growth somehow, when they were still little they did not look that nice....

Those 20 I got I will keep until I find a nice pair for breeding, then I will get rid of the others...

:)

two pics of the little pig doing his fav thing:

When mine were smaller they used to dig themselves right into the roots of floating water hyacinths ([SIZE=-1]Eichhornia crassipes), that was quiet funny to watch them hanging with their "nose" right in the plant :)

I took a video earlier of him pigging out on pellets but haven't uploaded it yet.

Really nice looking completely "white"

Clarias are such a great fun :)

I´m looking forward to seeing the Video ;)

By the way...considering this thread being the main walking catfish topic... ;)

...I have been sighting several papers concerning Clarias and now I found a quotation that says Clarias batrachus comes out of the water at night to feed on earthworms...

...so some nightcrawlers apparently are more than just a substitute in feeding :)

Hi Andri,

how are your clarias now?

At what size, I guess we both got ours the same time.

Mine are about 20 cm now....

:)

Great, a real Beauty :)

What do you feed?

I´ll come back with some new pics soon, too...

:)
