im hoping to have the first of many fires this weekend :)

No kaboom with diesel. Diesel is not explosive like gasoline and it is in fact what the municipality here uses to burn Elm tree stumps that have become infected with Dutch beetles.

You can also use kerosene or bbq lighter fluid.

Google tree stump removal. There are several ways to get rid of stumps without even burning them such as pouring liquid fertilizer into the holes you've drilled and that will rot the tree stump in a few months time.

If you're not in a rush to get rid if it, that may be a safer approach.

Do it the easy way. Call in an air strike! :D

cmon man, thermite is just iron oxide (rust) and aluminum... and it's legal to use in Florida I'm pretty sure....

yeah I pulled that information out of my ass, actually, not really. You do make thermite out of iron oxide and Aluminum. no idea if it's legal to use, but, why wouldn't it be, it's not like it can blow up and kill anyone. (no sarcasm)

I can only imagine what the Mythbusters would do to remove a tree stump. :headbang2

But a fire pit is a much less violent way to take care of it. :D
